About Me
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Addictions Professional with over 15 years of clinical experience treating adolescents, adults and families. I graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have been working to assist individuals with a variety of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. I have also been servingĀ individuals who have self identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender.
My Approach
I offer a collaborative goal-oriented style of therapy where your goals are identified and provided attention and care. In order to build a trusting relationship, I strive to provide therapy in an open and safe space, free from judgment. Together you and I will work to modify thinking, behavior, and emotional responses. Our work together will support you in living a life consistent with your values and desires.
I work with people using evidence-based treatment practices, primarily cognitive behavior therapy, exposure therapy, EMDR, and other models such as motivational interviewing and psychotherapy. I choose the treatment approach that will have the best impact on the symptoms and disorder being treated. The cognitive-behavioral approach allows an individual to identify faulty thoughts and beliefs that create problematic responses and feelings. Evidence-based treatment is a treatment that has been researched and has shown to have good outcomes for specific conditions.
